Problem

The design work for the online companion exists only in an untracked local checkout: the research, the spec, the grilled decisions, the plan, and the task lists for Slices 1–2, which are already merged. CLAUDE.md duplicated what should be canonical AGENTS.md content.

Solution

  • docs/research/2026-09-27-dj-online-companion.md holds the research.
  • projects/2026-09-27-dj-online-companion/ holds the spec, the plan (8 slices) and the task lists for Slices 1–2, now marked complete.
  • ADRs:
    • docs/adr/0001: the app server owns online state.
    • docs/adr/0002: the guest site builds with Bun, not Vite.
    • docs/adr/0003: guests search all of Spotify.
  • CONTEXT.md is a glossary of set, play, online session, passcode, guest, handle, request and related terms.
  • AGENTS.md is canonical, with Why/What/How sections and a pointer to CONTEXT.md. CLAUDE.md and GEMINI.md are @AGENTS.md stubs.
