Gas City shipped the herdr session-provider backend upstream while
port-gastown-to-herdr sat unstarted. gascity/internal/runtime/herdr/ is
4,529 lines with a conformance_test.go that is exactly the conformance suite
the proposal specified, plus ten commits of herdr version-skew fixes this repo
did not have to write. The fork, and the 232-file interface extraction it
required, buys nothing now.

A prior session wrote that tombstone on 2026-08-20 and never committed it. This
commits it, and fixes the em dash in its banner.

It also redirects add-town-scoped-coordination, which still named
port-gastown-to-herdr as its live successor. That chain pointed at a dead
plan. Both banners now say the same thing: adopt Gas City.

What survives both changes is unchanged. The three failures (duplication,
stampede, lost picture) are still the acceptance test. herdr-mail and
herdr-spawn stay in service until Gas City reaches parity. Exactly one system
owns agent lifecycle.
